FIRST CROP CULTIVATES PARTNERSHIP WITH NATIONAL RECOVERY NONPROFIT SHE RECOVERS
New Mexico-based company joins forces with international non-profit, SHE RECOVERS® Foundation, to form partnership rooted in education and the understanding of CBD as a holistic recovery ally.
Santa Fe – June 25, 2021 —
Dedicated to improving the health and wellness of People and Planet, First Crop is proud to announce its partnership with SHE RECOVERS® Foundation, a national non-profit that provides women from diverse backgrounds increased access to resources and support on their pathway of recovery from substance use disorders, other mental health issues, and/or life challenges. Through this partnership, First Crop aspires to highlight the health and wellness benefits associated with hemp derived CBD to assist women in or seeking recovery.
“First Crop was envisioned and founded on the principles of regeneration, that each individual choice or action can be rooted in the collective good for all. We are full of gratitude to partner with SHE RECOVERS, an organization that empowers, educates, and inspires women in recovery on their path to their highest life,” Jane Pinto, Co-Founder and Visionary, First Crop. “Through my own journey in recovery over the past 40 years, I know and remain devoted to the importance of communities based in love and care. It is my honor to introduce First Crop and our CBD products as a recovery ally to holistic wellness. First Crop looks forward to many wonderful years alongside SHE RECOVERS and the beautiful women we become, together.”
SHE RECOVERS was founded in 2011 as a passion project by Dawn Nickel and Taryn Strong, a mother and daughter both in recovery. What started out as a Facebook page has now become an online global movement of over 325,000 women in or seeking recovery. As a part of the partnership, First Crop is proudly donating $10,000 to SHE RECOVERS® Foundation in 2021-2022 to support their mission. Additionally, on June 28th, members of the First Crop team and SHE RECOVERS’ founder Dawn Nickel are holding a Facebook Live as part of their #MentalHealthMonday series ‘CBD: A HOLISTIC RECOVERY ALLY.’ Those interested in attending the event can join SHE RECOVERS and register here.
“We are so thrilled to have the support of First Crop, a partner whose values are perfectly aligned with SHE RECOVERS’ Intentions and Guiding Principles. Jane Pinto and her team have built a wonderful company driven by purpose and social responsibility. We are grateful for their generosity and partnership and look forward to sharing many years of education and support for women in recovery, together.” Susan Carter, SHE RECOVERS FOUNDATION Executive Director
ABOUT SHE RECOVERS FOUNDATION:
SHE RECOVERS is a global grassroots movement consisting of more than 325,000 women in or seeking recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges. This lifeline organization connects women through its virtual platforms and in-person community networks, provides resources and support to help women develop their own holistic recovery patchworks, and empowers them to thrive and share their successes. All efforts are designed to end the stigma and shame of “being in recovery” so that more women can heal and grow. A focus on research enables the organization to establish a more robust evidence base related to the efficacy of non-traditional recovery pathways. For more information visit sherecovers.org.
